OK. I've never asked for fishing advice on ANY fishing website before, but in this case, I have to - because I can't find any "specific" info on this subject through my Google attempts. I am planning on hitting Green Bay for 2 or 3 days starting June 10th. I've never fished Green Bay at all. Can anyone give me an idea of where to start at this time of year? I have both the Lakemaster and the Navionics chips for the lake, so I have good mapping software. I/we plan on staying on the east side of the bay towards the center - geographically - between Bays De Noc and Green Bay. We do not want to hire a guide for this quick stop; we just want to give it a quick try while passing through. If I start in this general vicinity, would anyone be willing to point me in the right direction? All I need is a general idea of where to look/start,.... not GPS waypoints.
Thanks.

I would suggest going on the west side, probably out of Suamico. Alot more choices and imo alot more fish. I live on the east side (dykesville) and fish both sides but more often than not, I wind up on the west side. Mid June you could probably catch fish as soon as you get out of the river. Or Gaenos also has a launch and there's fish near by. 10 to 20' pulling harnesses.

BTW- there are fish on the east side but if I only had 2 or 3 days to fish, I'd be out of Suamico, Gaenos or even Oconto.

Thanks Canyonyoddler. I believe we were planning on staying/going out of Oconto. At least with the info you gave, we'll have a place to start our search.
Thanks again.

If you are staying in Oconto just launch out of the river and go north. You can set up anywhere from 7-20ft of water depending on weed growth. The shorline from Oconto to the Peshtigo River mouth is all productive. Don't be afraid to venture offshore and look for suspended fish following the bait, a good graph will really help with this.

Hi,
I live in oconto falls which is about 8 miles west of oconto. try county park 2 which is just north of the landing off the river in oconto. try the menominee river to the north:theres some great walleye fishing in the river there. You can fish the menominee river up to the new highway bridge, which is by marinette marine. There are also some really nice rock piles and bars off of oconto, aways out.Use your electronics to find the structure.
Good luck!!!
