I just received a new 520c and the cable in the box says it is self terminating. Question, can I plug that cable in to a T on the network and the other end to my 520c and make it work? I want to extend my network but eliminate the lgc-3000 as I already have one on another 520c. I'll share the existing lgc-3000 between the 2 devices. What came in the box was much different than what I got 2 years ago.

My guess is I can't do and have not tried it yet.

Thanks for any advice.

I don't think so. You will need the Ts, cables and terminators to do this install. The details are on another message on this board.

that cable is the simple setup for users not planning to expand the
nmea 2000 network, and I would think less costly for Lowrance to
ship with this cable in place of T connectors and addational cables.

To plug your 520 into an existing network, you will need a T connector
and I would think at least one 2' extention cable.

Disgard the cable that came with the 520, or give it to me, I could
use it.
