Heading out this afternoon, will post if we have any luck, as this will be my first time river fishing. So not expecting much from the days effort, but cann't beat the weather.

Just got back from Pool 4, LOTS of boats. Fished from 3:00 until dark. As it was our first time on the river we kind of followed the crowds. Fished at the Y for first three hours, with no luck. Moved up to the dam and picked up six fish in about a hour of fishing, most of them were less than 14 inches, last fish was past the 2nd wing dam in abouyt 18 -19 FOW 18 inch Sauger.

Not as great as expected, but the worsdt day fishing still better then the best day at work!!

No doubt about that, I was there with you in basically the same spots. We fished from 90 minutes before sunrise to about 11 or so. There was no bite at all during the drag up or down stream before dawn. The only fish we caught were smaller saugers below the Y (just like everybody else).

Yeah I'm thinking the ticket is to get away from the crowds, find a spot here or there were the curret breaks a little different and might hold fish....?
