I am looking at purchasing a used boat and some of the 08 pro boats have light scratches all over. Is this something a person can get out and make it look like a 08 fisherman thanks for any help.
If there are light scratches in the gel coat I would first try to buff them out. Next option would be to wet sand then buff.

3M makes a Marine rubbing compound that used with an orbital buffer will get out those light scratches. It really does a good job. You may have to then go to a lighter polishing compound to restore the high gloss. It really is not a hard job. You should be able to do it on a Saturday afternoon.
