Bob, first two shows came over the internet well. The third, the one on planer boards, would not play right. Just thought I'd let you know.

We're working on getting that fixed on more shows on-line.

Thanks for watching the two you could watch.

Hope to get #3 fixed soon.

How did you like the show today. I saw you and was gong to say hi, but you were busy talking to someone.

I thought it was a good show. I didn't attend any seminars, but I thought the floor was good.

Question: I was talking to some people that run a charter at Lake Michigan. I mentioned The walleyes on Green Bay . His comment was that what they don't tell you is the walleyes are contaminated from, I believe he said the paper mill. The only ones that are edible are the ones 14" and less.

Hump, Whoever told you that Bay of Green Bay Walleyes that are over 14" are contaminated do not have accurate information. I live in Oconto on the Oconto River. I have eaten fish (at least one meal a week)from the Bay and Lake Michigan for 57 years and do not see any evidence that this is true. For 10 years I was part of a University of Wisconsin study where they drew blood every year to check for PCBs and other compounds that usually would be found pre-PCBs and there were none. Some fish in the lower fox near the DePere dam may have contamination but the fish in the mid bay and upper Bay by Oconto, Marinette, and Door county are not. The DNR, like other state agencies publish fish advisories to avoid liability in the event of a frivolous lawsuit. The DNR has tested fish , including digestive systems and scales, and have found minor traces. Tell me--When is the last time you ate fish entrails? Me neither. I hope this helps.

Hump:

Wish we could have met, I would have enjoyed it.

The folks who produce the Eastern Iowa Sportshow do an outstanding job. That show is very historic, it's changed over the years to keep pace with the times, but it is a fun show to attend and to be a part of. I've done seminars at the shows this group produces many times and always enjoy it. They are great to work with.

Regarding the walleyes on Green Bay. I don't know about advisories in the Oconto area, I would guess they might be geared toward the walleyes farther south on the bay where the rivers are if there are advisories.

What I do know is that Green Bay in the Oconto area provides some outstanding walleye action for both numbers and size. Even if we couldn't keep any due to contaminants, I would still go there. However, I would be very comfortable eating walleyes from that area.

Next time you see me, be sure to stop me and say hello.

He charted south of there. he did say the river was contaminated and the walleyes spawn.

Several years ago the same was said about a lake in Canada. We fished it for 18 years and I am still here.

Thanks for the information. It interests me to possibly go there and try for some of those big walleyes.

thanks again.
