Its always confusing to me when comes to Trailer~Rating. Does the number/poundage includes the weight of the Trailer itself?
For example, if the trailer stated that it can handle 2000lbs and my rig in total with everything in (Full-Gas, tackle, batteries and TM) is 1800lbs. Technically, since the trailer stated that it can handle 2000lbs, 1800lbs shouldn't be a problem, but if the weight of the trailer being including, we will be over the Max~Limit assuming the trailer is 500lbs.
Anyone?

I believe you're correct that the weight of the trailer should be included.

There should be a couple different weight values on your trailer sticker. The "capacity" should be what it is rated to carry, not including the trailer itself. You should also see GVWR and GAWR values, which is what the axle(s) are rated to carry, which would include the trailer frame. Here is an example from the Shorelander site of a 1800# rated capacity trailer. Again, a good idea to call your manufacturer.
SLB18LN Specs
Minimum Hull Length: 192 feet
Maximum Hull Length: 216 feet
Maximum Transom to Bow Eye: 201 Inches
Capacity: 1800 lbs.
Ship Weight: 485 lbs.
GVWR: 2720 lbs.
GAWR: 2720 lbs.
Tire Size: ST175/80R13-C

Now that's a LONG trailer.

That'll teach me to just "cut & paste"! Maybe that 1800 value is # of tons!

call the trailer mfg
:bangin:
My RangerTrail trailer has 2 plates on it.
One says: Maximum trailer GVWR 7000 lbs.
Another plate says: Weight of cargo should NOT exceed 3575 lbs.
I believe 3575 is how much load you may carry with this trailer.
Look for that plate on your trailer.
