I am looking at a minn kota traxxis 55lb with maximizer but also see a similiar motor guide variMax for about one hundred buck less, I the minn Kota worth the extra money thanks Al

Hi. I dont have one but have looked at them at bass pro. the minkota looks like it is stronger and better built than the motor guide. On the boats out on the display floor the motor guides seem to be on the smaller and cheaper boats.

I'm ordering the new Traxxis 80# tomorrow, primarily because of how slick the new tilt bracket works. Keep in mind that MK offers (2) different 55# models, the 5-speed "speed coil" SC model, and the variable speed digital maximizer unit. About a $100 difference between the 2.
