I am buying a Minn Kota Terrova 101,but before I do I have a question for those who already own one. Does the universal sonar work effectively? I have a powerdrive 74 now and my Lowarance x-65 will work for a couple minutes and then loses bottom and starts reading off the chart depths. I know this could be the sonar unit itself. However,has anyone had troubles with the 101 doing this with other, or all units? Is the extra hundred bucks worth it?
I was also thinking about going with the old mount the transducer with a hose clamp on the lower unit of the motor.
Help me out with some feedback on all the above...........Thanks Paul
