Circa 1904 - 1906
Browning couldn't tell me exact manufacture date since they didn't keep good records then.
It was one of the first 10,000 released in the US.
Completely gone over inside and out.
Even the engraving is gold leaf filled.
The aluminum rib was built by a local custom machine shop and I have the CNC pattern program.

All original wood is available and this gun can be converted back to factory in about 10 minutes.

It used to love to hunt Qual but is now retired and lives in a safe.

Hey Morton Looks fantastic!

Educate me if you would. What is the purpose of such a high rib and also the high wooden cheek pad?

Thanks!

I have a problem mounting a shotgun that does not have a high rib and comb.
I mount VERY vertically.
I always feel like I am reaching for the stock thus I tend to cant the gun.
My old neck doesn't bend that way very well and I didn't want to chance trying to steam and twist the buttt stock.( I don't know how to do that and trial and error didn't apeal to me. )
This configuration mounts perfectly and very naturally for me.

The high rib has hidden reliefs in it that I can add up to 8 ounces of weight on the end to help with follow through.
The comb and butt are adjustable also.
The comb makes up for my long neck and natural mount.

Besides I think it also looks pretty cool for a one of a kind shotgun.
