An old-timer once told me that shad will stay alive much longer if the live-well has rounded rather than square corners.
Can anyone tell me if this is true?
Are there other tricks to keep shad alive?
Thanks,
Tom

True. Definitely. Shad like to swim in circles and they get stuck in the corners and suffocate.
ShadSaver helps. Keep your water cool and aerated. I use a Fish-Flo2 for oxygen. Most of the better shad tanks also have a filter as shad are a dirty baitfish.

100% true, shad can not swim backwards so they'll bang into corners.........bounce off repeat which obviously is BAD for their survival...
