Does anyone know if the new trolling motors with built in sonar will work with older Lowrance locators such as the x65 or do they have to be the newest models. (X71, X91)

Thanks!

I also have a question on the issue of the built in transducer on Minnkota autopilot version. What cone angle do they use? I assume they are all the same.

Thanks Dave

Sixteen degrees I believe. That's what I've seen on other posts here, anyhow.

JRN,
They will work with the older lowrance products. You just need to purchase an adapter for the brand of electronics that you will be using with it. They are about $20.00
Have a good one!

Go to the following site:

The accessories page will have all the adapters.

Use adapter # MKR-US-6, Bass Pro # 20-594-616-00. Just took mine out for the first time yesterday. Have the genisis 74AP w/transducer and a Lowrance x-85. Worked just fine, no interferance. Its really cool not having to rig the transducer cable and worry about breaking it.

Thanks for the replies. Until I have the money to upgrade my main locator I can just by the adaptor and move it back and forth.

Happy Fishing!
