Just a service FYI
I know these boards are not intended for product sales, but I also feel good service by a company (more and more a rarity these days) deserves a shout out.

I ordered a new tip section (it was lost--not a rod flaw) for my favorite St Croix rod yesterday (Mar 19) at about 10:30 a.m. Paid $30 for the new tip section via their website but did not order any special mailing (free shipping) and at 12:30 pm today a delivery guy shows up with a protective shipping tube and a new tip section.

I'm impressed-----and no, I'm not a tourney pro or in any way affiliated with St Croix--just an average Joe fisherman.

Yup. Been there, done that, same results.

St. Croix makes a great product and stands behind their products. They are very customer oriented and deserve all the good publicity they can get.

If you use the search facility here, you will find a LOT of posts that cite examples similar to yours regarding St. Croix -- some of which are mine. They have ALWAYS done right by me.

That is why I own a couple dozen of their rods.

That is good to hear! The tip of my brand new st croix cracked when i used it for the 1st weekend! I still have my cabelas reciept so was just going to take it there, should i send it to St croix instead?

Take it back to Cabelas...they will replace it on the spot for you. They will send your broken one back to St. Croix. That will be the fastest way to replace it.
