In the past I used printer labels to label my plastic storage boxes, but they did not do well when wet. I recently ordered some labels from Cabelas, but they were already pre-printed (shallow crankbaits, etc.). Does anyone know of a good source of water resistant BLANK labels, and what do you write on them with, a magic marker? Thanks.

I've used the Brother label-maker. I suppose you could use the Dynamo one too. I have had mine on for several years and they're still perfectly legible and adhering quite well. Just a thought.

I write on the box and cover it up with a tape from 3M that is waterproof. I am not sure of the name of the tape, but I got it at Walmart. This works pretty good, and the permanent marker I use is a Sharpie. Seems to work for me.

Otter,
Try using a product called "UNIPAINT". It comes in a twelvw colors and three tip sizes (fine, medium and broad) I have used these on metals, plastics, wood, cloth and it holds up to water and sunlight very well.
Try doing a "search" online for more product info and where to buy.
Good luck,

I guess I am messy, but we use Duct tape and thick sharpie. Works great, but does wear the tape off after a couple years. It is nice when we change things around, simply put another piece over the old one, or take it off and put single layer down.
Any of the stickers we have used either fell off or got scraped off pretty quickly.

Same here. I use a Brother P-Touch label maker. The labels stick great, but remove nicely if necessary. The ink doesn't run.

Print it on a piece of electricians colored tape with a felt tip.
