I have a Minn Kota Quick Release...old style aluminum one...that has been modified to fit a Power Drive/Terrova and also accomodate a Maxxum style motor with custom spacer.
It is super hard to describe but it basically allows you to swap back and forth between a power drive style and cable drive style trolling motor easily. I have way more tied up in this than what I will sell it for but that is ok...I just use a Maxxum pro now.
There is a plate for each trolling motor base and then a receiver base to mount to the boat. The Maxxum trolling motor piece was fit and built to be able to swap out in the same spot a power drive trolling motor would be in place.
