Wyandotte Boat Ramp,I beleive this is the cleanest & safest place to launch & park our rigs on the river. They have parking for 150 boats all the bait & tackle you'll need, food right by there. They were written up in MI. Sportsman as best on the river! Owners Steve & Kathy Lyell, Phone 734-284-6774 Discount coupon for launching if you go to www.walleyesinc.com click on tourneys then look in RCL you'll see about launch discount. Wyandotte ramp is a nice ramp but it gets a little congested i would prefer lake Erie metro park. If have more then 5 or 6 boats trying to laod and unload it gets hetic.

Elizabeth Park usually opens around first of April, unknown if thats exact or not, that is a good ramp too, moves along pretty quick. Only trouble is paying 5 bucks per day. At Erie Metro, you can get a seasonal permit which in the long run may work better for you.
$15 for the truck, and $18 for the boat trailer.

Elizabeth Park is a go for the 1st of April according to the Wayne County sheriff marine divison stationed there. There is bait close by, tons of parking, usually traffic is directed by the park or sheriffs when its crowded. It gets busy, make sure you are ready to launch when you hit the ramp. There are also transient slips I have used in the past for the weekend. All new the past few years.
Wyandotte is nice, but its small.150 parking places isnt much. The metropark is also very nice, but it might be shallow through there, you need to be careful, but the water is supposed to be up a bit.
There is also a marina at the metropark you can get slips weekly, the water is deeper there. Its south of the boat launch.

Erie and Elizabeth Park are great spots for lower river fishing. As stated previously, the depth at Erie is scary for the first 200-300 yards or so. At least at Elizabeth Park, you're deep as soon as you hit the water.
For the upper and middle stretches of the river, Ecorse Municipal and Wyandotte are great - assuming, of course, that you get there darn early.

I was out of Erie this week and the water depth in the middle of the
Huron river is about 3ft., get to the middle and stay there until you hit 4-5ft, 1/4 mile from the ramp. I saw a guy throwing mud in a small boat who tried to cut the corner.
Thanks,
Randy
