I was looking at buying a targa 185 last fall but seen they didn't have them on their website anymore and I won't be able to get the boat till spring of 2010.It seem they made a lot of changes on there new 18' boats. What are the diffrences between the new and the '08?

I have nothing against Tracker boats but look at the resale value bfore you buy. I see there is an 08 21' Tundra with a 250xs and kicker on the classifieds for $29k OBO. That ain't good if you are the seller.

I am not a Tracker (or any other boat) fan but I wonder if the economy might affect the price of that boat? I have seen Rangers and other so-called top tier boats listed for a long, long time now with pretty consistent price cuts and OBO????

When I was looking for a new boat and asked guys at the landings if I could have a ride.Guys take pride in what they buy and most people will be more than happy to show off there boat for you and take you for a ride.I rode in almost every 19 and 20 foot boat that i could find and found lund and ranger to be the two best walleye boats in my opinion.I went ahead and bought a used 620vs ranger and am very happy.I also had a transom problem and ranger fixed it for free even though my boat was way out of warranty no questions asked, now that is customer service.I am now a ranger boy for life, but my brother owns a lund and is very happy to.I guess just take a ride in anything you can get your hands on and buy what you are comfortable with, but make sure you know what you are looking at on the outside(gel cracks, transom issues, etc.) or take somebody who knows because I got burned on my transom it was pulling apart and the dealer never told me.I am not nocking tracker but i here alot of issues with livewells, transoms, battery storage and trying to get a hold of the company and getting it fixed in a timely matter and these problems are from very close friends of mine.I hope you find the boat you like good luck.
