ship to shore problems

I got a new lcx 110 and when it is turned on my ship to shore has noise all the time you can not adjust the sqwelch,you can talk and you can recieve but there is always noise,when I turn the lowrance off it works fine please help,bought a filter for it but it did not help.

Probably electrical interference in the wiring or the antenna. Try moving the wiring and/or the antenna cable, sometimes an inch is literally all you need.

The best way to check is before the wiring is stashed inside the gunnels, that way it's easy to move around and to see if you have interference.

Also, having your radio wired directly to your battery (not a fuse buss) is usually a good idea for avoiding interference.

Hope this helps - at this point it's just a process of elimination to see what's causing the interference. And then figuring out how to get rid of it.

its coming from your sonar.

make sure the wire going to the transducer and the antenna coax are well seperated from each other.

I bet thats the problem
