Did a bit of handlining and jigging today in the Trenton Ch. picked up 4 eyes between 3 & 5 1/2 lbs. all on jigs. No specific color, also a mix of meat and plastic. All came in 10 - 12 FOW. Water was muddy and 38 deg. south of stacks. Not a bad day since we didn't see another net in the water all day!

Not to many at all. I estimated between 80 to 90 at the most.

all in the Trenton Channel?
If so, they must have been pretty close to each other?

The Trenton channel starts just north of Mud Island and runs to just north of the Edison stacks (more than 9 miles).

According to the description of the Trenton Channel at the site below I guess technically I wasn't in the channel at all as the channel ends just north of the Edison stacks. Most locals I would guess consider the stretch from Edison to Celeron Island as part of the Trenton Channel.

More correctly stated I was fishing between the warm water discharge and a line about even with Groh rd. on Grosse Ile.
When that area has 100 boats or less I would consider it to be light boat traffic. I have seen several days when you could spend the whole day in that area and always have a boat within 10' to 15' of you.
