Navionics chips

Just wondering if anyone has an opinion on 2009 hotmaps premium vs. the platinum chip? I realize the platinum can do 3d map on select lakes, but I am running an LCX-27 and don't know if this unit is capable of using the technology of the platinum chip? Just trying to decide between the two and was looking for input from anyone who has had experience with the two. I currently have the 2006 version.

Go to www.navionics.com and look it up. They have compatibilty charts there, that will tell you if it will work.

The LCX27 can use Navionics Platinum.
