I have a LMS 522C and just installed a Hot Maps card. I haven't been on the water yet, but with the boat in my driveway when I move the cursor to my fishing spot, I see the shore outlines, but no chart data. Will I see this data when I'm actually at that location?
Thanx

you have to select the chart data you want to use from the map data window

Some lakes are "fishing hot spots" and others are "enhanced lake maps". Some smaller are are just plain.

First, HOW ABOUT THOSE SPARTANS!!!!!!!
You may not yet have loaded the maps for your planned fishing location. Check your depthfinder manual on how to load map sets. You won't see Hotmaps chip data until you do that.
Finally, HOW ABOUT THOSE SPARTANS!!!!!!! Will they win it all again?

Hit MENU twice, go into MAP DATA, then Navionics Map Choice. VA guy has a picture of what the screen will look like when you get to it.
You'll have to choose the correct region for your lakes. There's some helpful tips at www.navionics.com under the FAQs too.

Thanks everyone. I went to that Map Data section and it already showed "East Michigan" in the window, but I guess it just wanted me to confirm it. As soon as I exited the menu, I was seeing chart data for the first time. Now I'm working on transferring my "hot" waypoints on Saginaw Bay from last summer into the new unit. Gonna go after those 'eyes pretty soon.
Now - concerning the Spartans - I'm not a huge fan of most organized sports, but we're all pretty proud of our guys in green. They sure know how to make touchdowns, don't they?
