I set my new Eagle 642ci up in the house so I can learn how to use it before fishing time gets here. I have been all the way through the book and I cant find how to load or bring up the lakes on Hotmaps. I would guess that my Eagle will be much like a Lawrance. I went to "maps', "menu", "map data","map choice and set for Navionics",. Then I went to "menu", "categories drawn" and made my selections". But I dont know what to do from there. Any help would be great. Thanks

If you hit Menu twice on the GPS page and selected the correct Navionics region under Navionics Map Choice, then hit exit twice to go back the the GPS map page. To view the lakes with depth contours, you'll have to scroll to one of the listed lakes using the arrow keys, then you'll have to zoom in far enough to view the depth contours.

You won't get a list of lakes, you get a list of regions. You need to know the code of the region you are looking for, that should be in the material the chip came with. If you don't have that you will have to go to the website and find it.

OK it took a call to Eagle for me to get it through my head what you guys were telling me. Im in KS and I was trying to look at Red Lake Ont. I knew it was on the card I just could not figure out how to find it. I thought there would be a list and I would select it. Well as you told me there is no list I just needed to scrowl my way up to Canada. Thanks for the help
