I have this rod , and didnt even remember buying it. Have not used it much as I have some G.Loomis and St.Croix. The second guide is missing. Is it worth getting repaired? I plan on keeping it for a loaner for buddys I take out. Dont actually want them using my Loomis or St.Croix. Never repaired or had one done so dont even know who does it or how much.

I have a couple of the BPS Extreme rods, and I would say yes it is definitely worth getting repaired. I think these rods are the best bang for the buck out there. Not as nice as your Loomis or St. Croix of course, but for under $100 I don't think I have found a better rod.

Now to find a rod repair shop locally. Guess I should see what a new extreme is selling for , or do they not sell that one any more. Must sell a blank equivalent if not. Any ideas what a eye repair would cost, not the tip , I could do that myself I think.

If it was my rod I would just fix it myself. Cant be that hard.

Like PJ has said, I have made rods and it is not too hard to fix that. But on the other hand the store I frequent (Charlie's) would probably do it for free. I would guess less than $5.

5-10 bucks? I was thinking 50. What do I know. Seems an hrs labor is worth 75-100 now. Cant remember what I paid for the rod but I didnt want to spend more than I paid for it to have it fixed.
