Just bought a boat with a chip in it and would like to know what part of the country it covers. The company didn't really give me much help, can you? It would be appreciated!!!
The chip says Navionics Hotmaps Premium North SD/prem-n2 jan 2006
In particular, does it cover Lake Oahe ? thanks, gary

Thanks jaybe for the reply ! There still is a question in my mind about this that the Cabela chart doesn't answer. It's the 2006 chip issue. "Did that year have South Dakota and Lake Oahe on it"? Can you shed anymore info on the issue ? thanks again gary

Oh yeah - sorry - I didn't pick up on the 2006.
Probably your best bet is to contact them and ask.

The 2006 Navionics North Premium Chip does have SD/Lake Oahe on it, and Lake Oahe is mapped in 5' contours.

Navionics has since re-surveyed the lake and has HD data available for Oahe with 1' contours.

By way of example, I've attached a screen capture of the Mobridge area using a 2006 and a 2008 Navionics North Premium chart. Click on the thumbnails below.

Remember you can take advantage of Navionics trade in program for older mapping products($50 off a new chart), details are here: http://www.navionics.com/TradeInSave.asp

Thanks Jim for the info !! That I believe is the information I was looking for. After viewing the maps you sent, I think I'm going to have to trade for a newer version. minkman
