Went to update my HDS 7 with a sd card and it does not fit into the slot, worked on my LCX 26hd. Posted earlier if a sd card is the same as a mcc card which the manual said uses both. If anyone updated their HDS locator please let me know what card you used. Thanks Andy

I used a SanDisk SD card when I updated my HDS-5.
The card does not plug "straight" in, it loads at an upward angle.

Thanks Jim, I will try it again. Im sure the 7 is the same as the 5. I went to the Lowrance site and they said mmc card. Ill post when I get it figured out. Thanks Andy
Jim, you are absolutely right, angle it is. Do I feel stupid, but I did not want to force anything into a $1200 unit until I was sure. Thanks for the help. Andy

The HDS units have updates already????????? Didn't they just come out?

The April Update will allow Navionic's Mapping Chips to be operating:banghead:
1shooter, the Lowrance web has a update for the HDS 7, I'm sure its the same for all the HDS's. The web will tell you what they updated. Andy
