are the connections the same for the HDS as for the 113's? i.e., gps module, trasducer, power cable??

Should be the same.

But ..... if you powered your network by using the 2 sets of power leads for your 113, your network won't be powered when you switch to the HDS unit. The HDS head units don't power the network, you need to have a separate power node and T-connector now.

GPS is now a LGC 4000 , much better.

so they really won't work for the gps, maybe for the power and probably for the sonar???

The new HDS units have an internal GPS antenna, or you can supply external GPS via the network using an NMEA 2000 module.

The old transducer should work on the new units, although I'm not sure you'll get 83khz out the old HST-WSBL. I think you will, but I'm not sure yet. I know you'll at least get 200khz. The new Power cords have a different part number. I haven't tried to power up the new HDS units with the old power cable yet so I don't know if it'll work or not, but the fact that it is a new part number makes me suspect it won't.

GPS (network cable) will connect. But the network needs to be powered by a separate power node, whereas previously it could be powered by a node OR by the head unit (ie. your 113). Even though the HDS has a built-in GPS antenna you can still have an external puck connected, it will work with whichever signal is strongest.

Power cable will work.

Sonar (transducer cable) will work. And the broadband sounder in the HDS will allow your transducer to do 200 or 83 kHz.
