tried out front today....very muddied...rainmaker and one other boat were there and not doing well, i headed for us landfill and did very well....four nice coho and brownie...when i pulled my second line up there was a nice coho on it too!.....i saw it hit earlier but thought it came off so i let it stay put....it was very hot down near the water discharge and along the wall, even when i would cross the bay area about even with the ship canal i got fish.....limited quickly and headed back....one boat..tracker was still fishin the mouth and needed two more fish to make their limit of 10 so it did turn on there....steve...too windy to perch but i want to get some soon

west about 7 miles...when you hit the southern wall...not the lighthouse...just follow that wall about a mile and you will see the discharge....if somebody is cast ing there, that will not allow you to troll thru the discharge water , but it was hot all over the small bay created by the wall of lighthouse, and the wall of the landfill......the lure you so graciously gave me is owned by a coho mike!......i did a dumb thing last wk with it using it on 6 lb test and in that cold water i'm not sure that was smart...seagur flurocarbon...not sure if it stretches well when that cold...a few yrs ago i lost 6 lures in one day, using trimax copolymer line..brand new 8 lb test and tiny 1-2 # cohos kept breaking it....found out copolymer lines do not work well in water that is near freezing...wonder if flurocarbon is like that.....i used the perch color last wk and it was really hot and bought a bunch more and almost every fish came on that perch color today.....steve...thanks for the tip and the lure mike....wish i could go again it was really fun and they are big coho.....

Thanks Steve. I had an idea on the location but was not sure.

Looks like the lake is going to be angry this weekend so I doubt we will be out.

Cabelas has a better selection and stock of those TD 7's and 9's and also the jointed version which put a limit in the boat last Friday.

I use Big Game 10# clear with no leader for the spring fishing. Sounds like over kill for the cohos until a big brown or a steelie hooks up and come out of the water.LOL

Was the perch lure a perch pattern or just perch colors?

Thanks
MikeF

Way to go Stevie! Hey, you need to learn to tie the polomar knot. You know, if you only drag perch colored lures, you will probably only catch fish on perch colored lures. Glad you got into fish. I have not hit the big lake yet. Too many feet in the world right now. Eric has hit both the cohos and perch so he has been bringing home plenty. I met your office manager - seems like a nice person - I asked him to be patient with you!
