I've got an Alumacraft Navigator 175 tiller on order. My dealer listed a Shorelander SLXR2314LW for it. I think this is too long. The specs on the Shorelander website give the hull length range for this model as 216" to 240". The Nav 175 has a hull length of 212".

I'm thinking of requesting a bunk trailer instead: SLB2314SW or SLV2314SW. The first is a standard bunk and the 2nd is a deep-V bunk.

Those of you with this boat, what model is your trailer?

Hiya,

I have the navigator 165 and have the SW series. I too would agree that the LW might be a bit long, unless you are getting a swing away tongue. My boat is only 8 inches shorter than yours 16'-7" as compared to 17'-3" When looking at my rig on the trailer, the hitch post is only about 3 inches away from where the swing away tongue joint is. So...if that is the case, the longer trailer is the one you will need.

Thanks. I talked to another dealer yesterday and he said the same thing. The Nav 175 needs the long, wide trailer (LW) with short swing away tongue.
