Just picked up a new Ranger 1860 Angler that has Interstate trolling batteries. I also have 1 year old Cabelas AGM batteries and am wondering which set I should keep and which set to sell? Anyone have any opinions or pros/cons on either brand?

I am a big fan of AC Delco batteries, but when I bought my boat 3 years ago it came with Interstate batteries. I have really put them through their paces and they are holding up very well. I don't have any experience with AGM batteries, but I would stick with the newer Interstate batteries.

Well, if you absolutely hate maintainance, keep the AGMs as you don't have to check or maintain electrolyte levels.

That's a tough call !
Interstates are one of the best brands out there. Any Interstate batteries I have ,I never replaced one for failure. Only replaced because, they were several years overdue, and figured I would not get another season.
They are great batteries.
I do not know who makes Cabela's batteries ,but AGMs can have some significant advantages over common wet cells,(I am assuming that's what the Interstates are) which you probably already know, since you decided to spend the big bucks for them.
I guess if it were me, If the AGMs were at least the same capacity as the Interstates that came with the boat, and since they were still so new, I would lean towards keeping the AGMs. Your Interstates should have manufacture date stickers on them. If they are fresh 2009 or late 2008 (sticker should show K08 ,L08 or later ) you could probably easily sell them to someone at a discount and recoup some of the cost of your AGMs.
