Hello all
I have never been handlining, but I have used a similar style of presentation using a heavier rod and a weight I have made of lead filled tubing. It has been successful durring high and muddy water conditiond.I would like to try this tecnique, but do not want to buy all new equiptment yet(just incase I do not like it).I was wondering if anyone has any used handlining equipt. they want to sell or trade?
Please let me know!!!
Thanks

Has anyone heard of a Shaller Hand lining reel? Its supposed to be an older reel but the one who has it is not sure how old.I do not mind an older one if its in good condition and works, but I dont want one thats 1 step up from using a Victrola...LOL.
Thanks

Stump,
Call Lakeside Tackle in St. Clair Shores, Mi. and order a A&S Reel. They run about 150. It will last a long time, they are the best on the market. I use mine every night of the season and have had it for 8 years. I give it a little oil each season and change the wire every 3 or 4 years.

Stump,

I use the Schaller reels and love them. I think I have 5 or 6 of them. The last one I picked up at a garage sale a family was having after a death in the family, turns out the older lady of the house said that she didn't know what it is but here late husband used to take it fishing with him all the time but she didn't know why she was asking $3.00 for it. I gave her $20.00 for it and left. If you have a chance to get one you won't regret it they are a fine product.
