Dave Engel from Best Chance Charters mentioned them at a seminar this winter. He said that they were an option and I asked how you keep the inside of them clean? Especially with the water fleas staring to show up. He just said that it could be a problem. I just decided not to go there. I brought a leadcore in last year that was loaded with the fleas. I only had it happen once but, i can't imagine what would've happened with them getting embedded inside a rod blank. That must be fun with a 27' King on the end of it.
The seminar was at the pontiac Michigan Silverdome Fishing show and he passed on a lot of good information.

I bought a Cabelas Interline rod last year to use for jigging with fireline. In the past I have busted the tip of a couple rods off when the line wrapped itself around the tip while I was snapping the rod trying to get off a snag. I used the rod in Canada last year and it seemed to work well. I liked the feel of it and am looking forward to using it more this year. There really wasn't any debree in the water so clogging the inside wasn't a problem. Another plus is it doesn't get tangled up in the side rod storage compartment. I did catch a lot of Walleye and Northern on it with no problems. This year I intend to cast for Northerns with one using fireline.

I've answered this question before but I like the rods so much I'll answer it again.Great rods, great action, sensitive, no rod locker tangles,no wind knots on the tips and I have not had a buildup or flea problem with them in 6 years.Try a couple out.Try the 9' heavy action for dipseys and planers to start out. You will be impressed I guarantee it.
