Ordered a Angler 1860 from Ranger in February. Boat is at the dealer's with f150 but the 9.9 Yamaha tiller kicker is on back order. Urgh! Any idea how long to get one? It came in this week. Either a good sign about the economy or a bad sign about production. Any one else in the same shoes? I want to get on Lake Erie next weekend before I spring break with my wife.

I ordered my Ranger in late Jan and it delivered two weeks ago w/ the Yamaha 9.9 kicker. They did not make any comments that there were any shortages. I bought my boat at Cabelas and it sounds like they are busy selling boats. I picked mine up on Saturday and they were delivering two more new boats the same day.

Cabelas has some, I just picked up a T8 yesterday. I called almost every dealer within 500 mi. Cabelas beat all of them, plus 2% off for Cabelas Club card plus $100 off for spending over $500. The Cabelas near me has a full service boat shop and if you buy a boat there and need service you move to the front of the line. I bought my boat from Cabelas and got a great deal on it also.

As of 4/3/09 the T8DPLH were on back order. There has been an abnormal amount of sales of kickers this year for some reason. I am out of T8's allready for the year and have only 3 T9.9's left. 2 remotes and one tiller. Go figure a "depressed economy" and we can't keep kickers in stock. LOL

That used to happen a lot with Yamaha.
They really don't want to build any engines on speculation.
Kind of frustrating for dealers and customers.

I have a T9.9 coming. Boat was finished on the 24 of March and the motor arrived at ranger yesterday. It now has to be shipped to the dealer. I'm chopping at the bit to get on Lake Erie. I looked a Cabela's as well and dealt with what I thought was an excellent salesman. Wanted to keep the money in a local business and they matched Cabela's price. I figure I've thrown enough money their way as it is.
