Kicker Motor

I'm looking to put a 8hp kicker motor on a 17 foot Lund. Will the motor throw off the balance of of the boat?
Will it also make my 115hp 4s merc. work harder?

I had a Lund 1700 Fisherman with an F80 on it. I added a T8 and it didn't make any difference at all. I couldn't even tell that it was there.

Ihave a 15hp 2stroke kicker on a 17 ft crestliner never noticed any balance or performance issues big enough to get my butt home if main motor fails.

A kicker motor on a boat your size should make a minimal difference, if any, in handling, performance, balance, etc.
