Can any one share where a person can purchase black marker buoys?

Cabelas used to carry the yellow, orange and black ones, but I dont know if they still do.
Krylon makes a conversion kit for existing stock if you cant find the black ones. hehehe

Thanks for your suggestions. I had looked online at Cabelas and could not see any black buoys currently offered. Will check them out additionally the next time I visit. As you indicate, the black Krylon spray paint should do the job on my existing marker buoys.

We have just the opposite problem it seems. Most guys try to hide a thrown marker while I can never find my @&#!@$ markers if we drift very far away!
I started with orange markers many years ago, they faded to almost white so now I paint them the brightest orange or pink I can find every year or so. Rough them up a little with a fine grit sandpaper. Works good.
We need to invent one of those locater things like for the TV remote only for markers. "chirp-chirp"

You need one bright orange one for 100 yards from where your black one is.
That should keep the others away for a little while. :)

I think the mentioned Krylon conversion kit would be by far the easiest, but black marker bouyies? Man, I'd need to have some spares. Would not last long on my near dark slipbobber outings.

Pop bottles work well too. My old man will sometimes leave the bouy there all weekend if he is on them. He will pull it Sunday before going home for the week. Great thing about this is if it gets stolen your not out anything. Also painting a duck decoy white (seagull looking) can work too. I prefer my bow mount G.P.S. over any of this though.
