I have no idea, but I want one. I think it should be standard equipment for the sailors on vessels near Somalia!

developed in 1993 for hunting in africa. it shoots a 750 gr solid bullet at 2400 fps and in a 13 pound rifle has about 130 fp of free recoil. so drop 130 pound block of lead one foot and you have a idea of what is going on. now gun design helps manage all that recoil so it is not quite that bad

Gun like that needs to be fired using a sling and from what I can tell, not one of them had the correct posture for a gun that size. All were standing too upright. If it did'nt already have one, a muzzle brake could dampen the recoil some. Probably not much but any would be benificial. Too bad that it had to hit the floor. Bet the price tag has just as much recoil.

Price tag ain't bad....last one I saw went for a tad over 4K. I've shot a 577 nitro express in an old english double and it was pretty much a hollywood vacation (saw stars for a week).
There was a story a long time ago about a professional hunter's client shooting an elephant with a 577 NE. Dropped in it's tracks, one shot. They spent a while taking pics, etc and after about 20-30 minutes the elephant "came to". Apparently, the shot didn't kill it, but rendered it unconcious. Now i'm not sayin', i'm just sayin'.......

Looked like aRuger #1 action and I was going to guess a 600 Nitro in a custom barrel. Waht a man killer. Made for big mean Nasty game at close Range. Problem is how do you shoot it enough to get good with it? What a beast. I think I would take my chances with a Cape Buff and a Bowie Knife. LOL
