Hooked on It and Huckleberry.....

No excuses guys. This would be a great time for all of us to get together again for a little friendly competition. Of course the last time we did this (WC Outing) you guys couldn't handle the rough water and tough fishing.

Oh ya, looking forward to it.

Is there any rules about pre-fishing? We are thinking of going up Friday, planning to fish the the whole weekend and the Sunday tournament too.

JBL,
I just received a stack of brochures from Steve Poll with the WWA. It says: "There will be no off-limit period for practice fishing during qualifying events."

It also says the entire set of rules can be seen on www.worldwalleye.com

See you there,
Steve

Hal,

Chris and I will be there. I hope we have better conditions than we had at Huron last fall or last years Catawba tourny!

I'm fishing the Detroit RCL as Co-angler and am hoping I won't get to pre-fish the Catawba tourny. See ya there!

We plan on being there too. Marc you don't need to pre fish you,ll already kow where the fish are from the RCL. You can just make the run back to the river.

It's no secret where the big fish come from. The trick is getting the right program together and someone always does.

I'm not worried about prefishing, if I'm still fishing Detroit on Saturday that would be a really good thing! You won't hear any complaints coming from me about that!

Marc,
Good Luck and Have FUN at the RCL. If you are still fishing on Saturday, chances are you are going to be fishing the same general area on Sunday... Should be interesting to say the least - how many will make the run from the river???? Hope the weather cooperates so it is safe to make the run.
Good Luck,
Steve

PS glad to see you got rid of the skunk!

Thanks Steve,

Couldn't find any reference online to prefishing rules other than this: All boats must be off the water by 5:00 PM on the day prior to the event. No nightfishing Saturday night...hehe. -Jeff

Is the beach cliff a decent place to stay??

Dave Kidd

The Beach Cliff Lodge is a good place to stay, especially for anglers, ie fish cleaning and freezing facilities, clean comfortable rooms. Not hot tubs and heated swimming pools and such, but is there really anyone on the tour you want to get in a hot-tub with??

:) Dave

Dave, We have at least 2 women in it this year, You may want to rephrase the remark you just made. I think Jason may just jump on that opportunity! The question should be who would want to get in a hot tub with someone named stinky something?

That's right. Prefishing never helps us this time of year! Out east.....it's a different story. Besides, five years of detailed notes and ten hours of studying on a plane is usually enough for me.
This year's mission....OPERATION FIRST PLACE!

Dave, do you have an estimate on the number of teams fishing yet??

Marc and Steve, may need your help in getting Hooked on It, Huckleberry, and Dan(OH) involved. I'm working on Night Ranger as well.

Hot Tubs and Lake Erie Fisherman?? Doesn't sound like a pretty site!! I think I'll pass on that event!!!

Marc, Good Luck at the RCL I'll have to check the live leader board to see how you are doing..

Is anyone else planning on staying at the Beach Cliff?

Anybody who would be willing to distribute posters and fliers to tackle retailers, clubs and organizations, email me with mailing address. Also, anyone with the email, fax #'s or addresses of outdoor writers, please forward those to my attention as well.

Thank You
Dave

Jigmeister,

I saw your other posts and now this one. I'm confused, could you enlighten me, maybe I or someone else could help? There's been good activity on this thread and it's been staying towards the top on my computer.
