Lowrance Broadband module or HDS 5X

I purchased a LCX 37C last year. I would like to order the broadband module but noticed the HDS 5X is about the same price. Does anyone know if I can link the HDS 5X to my LCX 37C to take advantage of the Broadband technology. I could use my rear transducer and locate the HDS 5X at the rear to use when trolling.
If this does work what else would I need (expansion box etc).

It will work just fine. If I didn't already have an LBS-1 I would do it
this way.
