I don't understand how you become a charter member. I have been on this board for at least 4 years and would like to become a charter member. How do I go about getting this done? I have seen people that are pretty new have charter member status and I cannot seem to find out where to get this done. Any and all help would be great. Thanks to all who answer. JJ

To become a charter member, first you need to send $50 to me and my address is.... Just kidding, actually charter members are just people that were registered before the message board format change last September. There was no record of when they became registered, hence the charter member status. Everyone that has registered since the format change has a "registered since" date.

John,
That answered your question about charter members, but if you're looking to register goto the top of the message board page, and there is a link to register there.

Maybe the reason you think that new people are charter members is by
the number of posts you see behind their names. I have been on this
site for a long time but personally see no benefit in posting to some
of the posts as it serves no purpose to me to make my opinion know on
some subjects that are very immaterial to why I use this site. A good
example of this site in my opinion is if you notice today when someone
asked a legitimate fishing questions the fishing pros responded. I believe the surf this site all the time but don't want to get involved
in a lot of the petty things that go on here sometimes. I don't proclaim to be an expert fisherman, thats why I come here to try and
pick up some tips to catch more walleyes. I suppose I'll catch some
flack for my opinions but you know what the say opinions are like
%$^%**"'s everyone has one.
Like I say "Why can't everyone just get along"

As has been said, it's too late to be a Charter Member - but it don't matter - I'm told they've run out of the free Ranger boats some time ago. ;)
derrek.
CANADIAN WALLEYE OPEN UP AND SAY "EH"!
