Ya know I was thinkin...to me it is cool as heck that Mr. Roach is in this tourney.

Between him an Al Linder, I can't think of anybody that I'd rather see win a tourney.

Good luck to you Mr. Roach, I hope you show those boys how to do it this week. And thank you for inspiring me from the time I was a young boy who just wanted to go fishing with every spare second I had.

Good Luck Sir.

I had the pleasure of meeting him the other day in Port Clinton. Super nice, down to earth guy. I hope he does well.

Gary fishes our tournament each year here in Red Lake and he never puts on the airs that some big names have a tendency to do. he will give you advice and help in any way if you ask him.

He is a terrific ambassador for the sport of fishing and it is always a pleasure to have him in Red Lake.

I had the very good fortune of fishing with him in the PWT in Mille Lacs 2 years ago. I enjoyed every second of the day. A great gentleman and when you toss in Marge's fried chicken, impossible to beat.
If you did not know who he is, you would think you are in the boat with your best fishing buddy.
Take care,

Roacher is an awesome man. I fished as a co-angler back in 2001 on lake erie, and the only thing I hoped for was to draw Gary as the pro. Well it happen and I drew him for day 3. I learned more in that 8 hours on the water then I did for the other 16 hours with the other guys I had. Nothing against the other guys, its just that he was so informative and he was the only guy who was fishing in the top 5 to 10 feet of water. I never new that walleyes suspended that high in the water. It was rough that day as well. Like 4 to 6 footers with some rollers coming in at 7 or 8 feet. But it was one of my favorite days ever on the water. Go get them Gary.

Jim,
when you typed "Marge" you must have been thinking about Homer Simpson's wife. :-)

Mrs. Walleye of course is Beverly, and if you think her fried chicken is good, you can only hope to get a taste of some beef roast she cooks up, and lets not forget to mention the cookies.. Ooooohhh the cookies.

Good luck to Papa, Todd, Backer, Goodie, Jim O., Truett and all the rest of my former Lund guys. BE SAFE.

I saw Ledgends of Rod and Reel, a few weeks ago. It was about him. He just seems like any other guy that loves to fish. You can tell he truly loves it.

He wife was talking about a vacation they took. They had been there for 5 days and he fished every day, and at breakfast he said to Beverly, " I think I'll go fishing today." She said, "you've been fishing every day so far." and Mr. Roach said, "I know, isn't it great", an he had the big gleaming smile on his face....classic.
