When the pro tiller is shut off is the hydraulic steering shut off too? I guess what I'm asking is when the switch is off is the hydraulic steering turned off as well? Am I able to have the aid of hydraulic steering while maneuvering the boat with out the motor steering itself without the help of the button.

My concern is trying to steer the big tiller motor by hand in the harbors and docks if the hydraulic steering is also shut off.

When the switch is off. It steers like normal. It takes more pressure to turn. Most guys use the Hyd. only when going on long runs.

not trying to sound stupid here , and not trying to hyjack the thread , but I am trying to find a 17 or 18 ft warrior tiller boat and never having been around warriors , I do have a question on the steering power assist , is that a standard feature or are there warrioirs out there that do not have it , my old pro v used to rip my left shoulder up pretty good and now that I am pushin 60 harder than I care to admit , that power assist would keep me in a tiller boat , Thanks for any help/replies you guys mite have , Dan

Not stupid at all. The answer is not that simple. It depends on the model, and that depends on the year. I'm guessin' ole Warrior1 is a little busy this time of year but he'll be around if this stays toward the top. Bottom line, when you find one your looking at you just have to ask, or ask here, or ask Troy @ warrior, or whoever answers the phone etc. in Maple Lake. Whoever is selling one will tell you, it's not like you can fake that. I guess I assumed you were looking at used, if your looking at a new one you can pretty much assume it will have it. Gook Luck

ia bhtr,

The easy answer to that question is this: On the following boat/engine packages Pro Tiller was an option.

V177 w/75 HP Engine
V1890 w/90 HP Engine
V2090 w/115-125 HP Engine. There will be some of these out there that may, or may not have Pro Tiller.

On those same models with the higher HP engines, Pro Tiller is standard. So as an example, a V1890 with a 125 would have had Pro Tiller installed as standard equipment.
