IOWA OPENER....mAY 2 & 3RD..GREAT WALLEYE WEEKEND ...For big fish it is an after dark thing..Either wading or boat fishing. Trolling crank baits is the best option. Next would be casting a jig with power bait ....For numbers of fish use a lighted slip bobber and leech...Big Spirit . is a no. one choice.. followed by west okoboji, then east lake.. After dark work the 6 to 12' depths..Daytime 12 to 20 feet. Remember the Great lakes have a walleye slot limit...17 to 22 inch fish must be released..the daily limit is 3 walleye.. Read that ruler carefully...GOOD FISHIN
