I just called Reeds, and if you want the one with the dual frequency transducer it is $649.

Hey Folks,
Not such a good deal at Scheels. When I took it home I started to use
it in simulator mode and hit the software button. Low and behold it was made in Dec 22, 2000 and it was version 1.3. Called Kevin at Reeds
in Walker Minnesota and he told me with out chips upgrade 1.6 and 1.7 you couldn't upgrade to 2.1 which is the model out now. According to
Kevin the 1.3 was the first software unit for the x-15. Needless to say I took it back and ordered one from Reed's. The actual price is
$649.00 with a temp and speed skimmer transducer. The $599.99 is for
the unit alone no transducer. I guess the moral of the story is make
sure you know who you're buying from and make sure they know what they are doing. They told me at Scheels it was this years model.
Live and learn.
