HDS 7 problems

Unit keeps shutting down went and charged my batts to make sure getting enough volts seems o.k. Sometimes it wont even turn on and when it does after a minute or two it shuts down. There is no reset that I can find for the hds on the lowrance web site. Heres the real troubling issue, went to take it off the boat and noticed water in the screen, fished in a tournament Sun. and it rained. Appears there are two panes to the screen and looks like water between them. The unit is only two months old and been on the water only five times including today. Anyone else having problems or advice. Thanks Andy

One of the options on Lowrance's customer service line relates to water intrusion problems on the new HDS units. Apparently, this is a known issue with the early units and as I remember is being handled by a recall. There are recent threads on this forum relating to this issue. I hope everything is resolved quickly for you.

definetly water inside,showed my wife and picking up the unit not only can you see it in the screen but you can hear it inside. I will call lowrance tomorrow and give an update. Andy
