coleman used to make a cooler that had a trap door on one end that opened up to a grey plastic insert.they called it "Bait and Cool" or "Bait and Fish" or something like that. the insert had a great top style that the crawlers couldn't climb out of. it would hold a whole flat of crawlers for a very long time because it held about 2/3 ice and 1/3 this grey insert i'm talking about. anyone seen these in a local store? i cant find them on coleman's site so i think they're discontinued. i really would like to get a couple as would a bunch of friends. grab one yourself if you find them, they are fantastic. i'm guessing they are about a 48 qt size.

OK ya made me run out to the boat. I have one and won't go fishing without it.

FISH-N-TACKLE 40
Model # 5235, or 5236
Pat. # 4095711 re 32740

The last time I saw one was about 2 years ago at Dakota Mart in Peirre.

I sure hope this helps. Good luck. It will be worth the hunt.

thanks brushpile thats what I'm looking for. i have an e-mail into coleman to see if they don't have some at a liquidator maybe they will tell me the manufacturer and they have some inserts around. once you use one you're hooked. if i get a response i'll post it so others can get them. i looked at them in the stores and never figured how good they would be in real conditions. hawg

I have a couple of these coolers and they are great.:) I once contacted Coleman about making a larger cooler of this model with flip lids on both sides, so I could have my leeches on one side and my crawlers on the other. I also asked about the coolers we're discussing and was told they were a discontinued model. If you find out any information about where to get these coolers or parts for them, please post your resource.

Good Fishing to All!!!:)

When I originally saw these I thought they looked like they had possibilities, but at that time had no use for one. Now that I live in AZ I sure do. Please post any sucess you have in finding them or drop me an email uufda@yahoo.com

Hagen's is a good product, I've used them but they are not as nice as the colemans. Thanks for the reply.
