Need advice on how to remove a shoot thru-hull transducer on a 620. I am also putting in a new one. Any advice on removal/install is helpful.

I think that it's removal can be as successful as reversing a transectomy.
sorry, I'm a little punchy today.

You don't really remove a glassed in transducer, you just put the new one next to it.
When installing the new one, sand down through the coating on the fiberglass until you get to the bare fiberglass. Clean it with acetone or something like that. Make a generous pool of your adhesive on the hull, and gently place your new transducer in the adhesive. Put one side in first at a slight angle, and roll it to the other side. Do it smoothly and gently, don't rock or lift the transducer ---- you want a smooth solid connection with no air bubbles. Do you best to position it parallel with the bottom of the hull. Hold it in place while it sets up, or hold it down with a wrench or a pliers, etc. Good luck.

If it's epoxied in place, than a couple good hits on the side with a rubber mallet will free it up. Then sand and clean the area prior to installing the new one.
If it is completely glassed in, then that would be more complicated and adding the new one next to it may be the most cost effective.
