I know I have read some different posts on this subject and that many of you like me, say something to people who we see littering.
I spent most of Saturday wading below the Sauk dam on the Wisconsin River. I was disgusted with the amount of litter and fishing line that was every where. I know not much can be done about this except just to go out and clean it up. So instead of getting mad about it, that is what I am going to do from now. If I go to a place that is trashed and I am going to try to get some people and go clean it up. If I can't get help I will do it on my own. Maybe it will help, maybe it won't, but these are all things that are used by groups who want to ban fishing. The litter, birds and ducks being injured by fishing line are reasons they use for banning or limiting the sport.
Let me know what you think and if anyone would be willing to help out. I figure on just trying to cover small areas at a time and just take a few hours.
I am going to try to get up to Sauk a few times over the next couple of weeks.
