What are you guys using to crimp 6 guage . None of my crimpers are for larger than10 g.I need to make up some 6 guage trolling motor wires . Local store wants 85 bucks for a 6 guage tool.

Depending on the fitting, I use a vise to crimp the fitting or else I solder the fitting to large-gauge cable.

Go to a welding supply store and get a hammer type crimper used for crimping lug connections on the welding cable.

Picked one up for 18 bucks in the Chicago suburban area a few weeks ago.

Ill buy you lunch and dinner, pay for your gas , whatever it takes. I picked up my Terrova today along with a co pilot and mkr- 60 amp breaker. Ordered my Vantage and mk 330. Just got to install it now. I think I will order the 6 guage tinned wire from your link and get some crimp on terminal ends for the batt side . I will need a 6 guage adapter for the trolling plug side. I have the best shop around for working on anything. Im free tomorrow, cant fertilize in the rain. LOL.
