View Full Version : Depthfinder Depth Differences

I have a Lowrance X27 and an LMS 240 that have about 2' difference in depth reading. I also have an LMS 350 that matches the LMS 240. These two say 6' and the newrwe X27 says 8 to 8.5'. The LMS 240 is mounted at the same exact spot on the boat as the X27 but it's on the port side. Any idea on why these would read different? The 2 older units match and the new one is the odd one out.

Change the keel offset so that all of them match...

It's a setting on your electronics...from the sonar screen hit menu twice...scroll to "sonar setup"..."set keel offset".
You'll probably have to adjust each graph, more than likely even though two of them match depth they're still off. Measure the distance between your transducer and the water line and add it to the keel offset. You'll be able to dial each of them in so they match.
