Howdy Ho!
After drooling over a Yarcraft 209TFX for the past 4 years or so I finally bit the bullet! I got one with a 250 Opti Pro-XS and 9.9 Pro Kicker. I have yet to pick out a bow mount and am debating between a 101 Fourtrex/Maxxum or Terrova. What are your thoughts?
Thanks,
Auggie

I'm jealous. I've been looking at the 209 and 219, very nice boats. The bow mount boils down to how you intend to use it. If you want to use the bow mount to drag crawler harnesses super slow, the Terrova would be the way to go. If you like to use the bow mount to position fish, the Foutrex is the best option in my opinion. The response time of any electric steer bow mount can't compare to a cable steer. I've had both, for me the best option is a cable steer like the maxxum or fourtrex.

Dean Nathe has got a fourtrex on his 209, looks like a very nice bow mount, I really like the built in bar that keeps the TM head from banging around on the gunnel when you're running from spot to spot. My choice would be a 36V Fourtrex with the built in sonar option. Congratulations on your new rig!

Congrat's Auggie. You finish grad school, get a job in your field of study, none of what compares to the excitement of the boat you've wanted for years. Congrats and Enjoy - look forward to fishing in it!

Thats a big 10-4 Barry! If it wasn't for the boat I may not have even gone to grad-school. I'm still all hyped up.
