View Full Version : Galyans IM8 Rods??

Has anybody had experience with the Galyans IM8 rods with Fuji guides and reel seat? I normally wouldn't buy one but I can get one free with the purchase of a Shimano Stradic, which I am going to buy anyway. I have been a big fan of St.Croix and Fenwick rods but a free $70 or $80 rod would be nice. Any information on the Galyans IM8 rods would be appreciated.

You'll be impressed with the quality unless they switched blank manufactuers in the last couple years. I had an IM-7 seven foot and it was really well balanced with a Stradic. Can't go wrong for free. A sweeter rod would have the Loomis somewhere on it.
