I attempted a fairly healthy winter boat renovation project and have just finished. I needed to upgrade my electronics change my electric motor system from 24V to 36V, add rod and dry storage as well as extend the casting platform at the rear of my Crestliner 2050 Sportfish.

This is a list of the new equipment that i installed:
Vantage 101
Terrova 101 c/w copilot
2 X Lowrance LCX112
1 X Lowrance LCX 37C
Lowrancenet
Navico expansion port and Ethernet for 3 head units
Lowrance Broadband sounder
LowranceFuel flow sensor
Dual Pro 4 bank X 10 amp onboard charger
4 X AGM Batteries
Rod storage X 8 rods
27" rear casting platform extension

I took some sketches and measurements to work and had our CAD guy build me a set of drawings to start from. I'm not sure how many hours I have in this but it was a bunch for sure. Here are some pictures of the construction phase as well as the finished product. I'm quite pleased with th way it turned out.

Hey Bryan, nice job on the renovation, it looks really good. I was wondering what you were up to these days, looks like you are doing some productive stuff! You are really going to like going to 36 volts with the size of boat you have. Doing any tournaments this year in AB or SK? If she needs a new name how does "second wind" sound?

Take care, Chris K

Bryan-very impressive indeed !!
By taking on a project like that and making the boat the way you thought it should be-nice job and I have had many a thought like that (just a thought-never an action!). I used to own a CL Fish Hawk and now run a CL Super Hawk-I wished that I could have combined the storage and layout together-and CL just came out with the Raptor series-whish is essentially what I thought my perfect CL would be! You did a great job-good luck in the future (and back to fishin'....)

absolutely top notch job. I am amazed at the amount of ingenuity that people have on this site. You should consider doing custom work for those that would like stuff like this but don't have the skills (guys like me). Or ... you could just fish and enjoy your perfect custom boat.

Bryan,
Do not even consider doing it for a living.
Your attention to detail and the meticulous work had to take an enormous amount of time and energy.
Way more than you could ever find to be profitable.
Combine that with the fact you would need to charge a fortune, nobody could afford your quality.

Outstanding work, thanks for sharing,

That is an absolutely BANG UP job. My brother has done a couple of ski boat restorations and I've done a bit of boat rigging myself, so I know the kind of skill and patience that goes into doing a job like that. Very impressive.

I was reading the list of things you added, it reads a lot like my wish list! I had to quit counting the $$$$ though, I couldn't count that high LOL. That is going to be a SWEET improvement.

I'll be keeping an eye out for that boat when I'm on the water this year, I'd love to see it person.
